Industrial 3-Phase Distribution Upgrade & Hazardous Asbestos Board Removal

Upgrading Commercial Infrastructure with Safe Asbestos Abatement and High-Capacity 3-Phase Power Distribution
Operating a modern commercial facility on legacy electrical infrastructure introduces severe operational limitations and critical safety liabilities. For this major infrastructural project, EIS Electrical was commissioned to decommission and replace obsolete industrial fuse gear. The existing setup was mounted on hazardous, very old distribution boards that contained asbestos requiring specialist handling and absolute containment protocols before any electrical modernization could begin.
Our team executed a multi stage turnkey solution: isolating the primary mains supply, implementing full personal protective equipment (PPE) and environmental containment zones, safely dismantling the asbestos laden backing materials, and rebuilding the facility's power infrastructure with a high capacity, multi way 3-Phase Distribution Board. This comprehensive upgrade eliminates fire risks, introduces mandatory surge protection, and expands circuit capacity to handle modern industrial loads
Hazardous Materials Containment & PPE Protocols
Due to the presence of legacy asbestos backing on the old boards, safety boundaries are strictly established. Our engineering team dons full body protective coveralls and respiratory filtration masks to execute safe, legally compliant hazardous material handling.

Legacy Asbestos-Backing Fuse Boards
The original configuration featured outdated, dark gray industrial ironclad fuse boxes mounted over highly friable asbestos insulation panels. This obsolete network lacked modern circuit breakers, leaving the building vulnerable to single-phasing and thermal stress.

Deep Technical Stripping & Circuit Tracing
Once the containment area is secure, each line, neutral, and earth phase is systematically labeled and snipped away from the legacy busbars. Our technicians carefully trace dozens of cross connected commercial sub circuits to map out the incoming migration.

Safe Dismantling & Environmental Abatement
The old ironclad boxes and hazardous backing plates are unbolted completely from the masonry. Every piece of decommissioned gear is systematically documented and laid out carefully for safe, certified disposal.

Heavy-Duty Structural Containment Drilling
With the hazardous materials removed and the masonry cleaned, the team uses high-powered hammer drills to mount new heavy duty metal containment frames and solid cable trunking paths capable of carrying thousands of amperes.

Core Phase Dressing & 3-Phase Balancing
Inside the new high spec 3-phase board, our engineers precisely dress and land the primary incoming phases (Brown, Black, Grey). The circuits are meticulously combed, layered, and torque tested on individual distribution rails to optimize load balance.

Modern Multi-Way Distribution Array
The newly integrated distribution nerve center features an expansive multi way configuration populated with individual Type B and C miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), offering dedicated protection zones for distinct machinery and lighting grids

Fully Certified, Flush-Closed Industrial Finish
The completed installation delivers a neat, safe, and robust power infrastructure. The flush-closing, heavy gauge white steel cabinet doors shield the live busbars from environmental dust, complete with updated technical schematics affixed cleanly to the interior door panel.
