This is a 22-kilowatt charger equipped with two charging ports, allowing two vehicles to charge simultaneously at 22 kW each
For this installation, the client requested that the chargers be mounted on standalone pedestals near each parking bay, positioned away from the main building
The onsite team excavated trenches to the required lengths, laid the necessary ducting, and successfully pulled 16mm² 5-core three-phase armoured cables to the designated locations
We have retrieved the cables from the underground ducting and fed them through the concrete foundation boxes of the pedestal mounts. They have been carefully prepared for cutting back and termination to ensure a precise and professional installation
The pedestals are securely bolted to the concrete-embedded metal frame foundation box, ensuring a stable and level installation with a clean, professional finish
We then mounted and securely bolted the 22kW twin-port charger body onto the pedestal. During this process, we had to terminate the large armoured cable using an SWA gland at the base of the charger. This step was particularly challenging due to the rigid, heavy-duty nature of the cable, which allowed for very little flexibility.
Precision was crucial—cutting the SWA cable to the exact gland height was a one-shot task. Even a slight miscalculation, whether too high or too low, would have caused significant issues when aligning and securing the charger in place. Despite the challenge, our team ensured a precise, professional installation for a robust and reliable setup.

Write yourAfter terminating and connecting the three-phase armoured power cable at both the EV charger and the power distribution board, we conduct a comprehensive sequence of electrical testing and inspection in accordance with British Standard BS 7671 IET Wiring Regulations for EV charger installations.
Our rigorous testing process includes:
Continuity tests to verify proper conductor connections
Insulation resistance tests to ensure cable integrity
Loop impedance tests for circuit protection verification
Polarity tests to confirm correct wiring
RCD trip tests to check fault protection response
EV charger functional tests using an EV test adapter
All tests are performed using our state-of-the-art Metrel MI3152 multifunction tester to guarantee that the installation is fully compliant with regulations and safe for use before commissioning the charger. text here...
Write yOnce the electrical installation was completed, we proceeded with the CAT6 network cable termination. This involved crimping RJ45 connectors onto both ends of the CAT6 cable, allowing the charger to be seamlessly integrated into the building's main network infrastructure.
This network connection enables smart features, including remote app control, consumption data logging, and real-time monitoring, ensuring the charger operates efficiently with full connectivity for advanced management and reporting.our text here...
